Went off the deep end here, didn't you. Divisive, hateful, despicable. Worthy of Donald Rumsfeld or John Ashcroft. Tears the heart out of democracy to attack people with an opposing view as "America-hating".
(I'm starting to feel better already.)
"Free speech" is to the wealthy, huh? No other expression is to be allowed? Political contributions are the only valid expression?
That's a conservative view, not "democracy".
The grandparents, parents and kids I saw were not "communist" or advocating the violent overthrow of their government.
They were people who wanted the country they loved to return to it's basic values, who did not want to "preemptively" attack a country who was not a threat.
I don't know who painted the signs, there might have been a Republican doing it for all I know. Would you say that Republicans are behind the anti-war movement? (There were a bunch.) What if there were a gutsy conservative?
That post is unbecoming to the poster. Might have been OK for a couple of the folks around here, but not from a sentient being. Beyond unbecoming, it's fetal in nature, as rational as the stalker.
GWB and accomplices ARE NOT this country. They are a temporary political phenomenum, an overlay on the political structure, and will be gone someday. The country will remain.
Remember that disliking this President's policies is a right in a democracy, and to call that "communist" or "America-hating" is the real "America-hating" and undemocratic. And, it's basic conservative doctrine. Sadly.
