Haven't done mine yet...
But results will probably be similar to yours. We self-employed get to write checks for our taxes all year, instead of having them painlessly extracted from our paychecks in our sleep--including the full amount of the Social Security tax.
This would be a much different nation if everyone had to cough up the cash when tax time rolled around, instead of getting a refund check for whatever pittance is left over after Uncle Sammy and your state have had their fill. I'm still amazed when I see someone gleefully waving their refund around like they've gotten some windfall or something.
