The side of the Pentagon which was hit was or had been under renovation, and many of the offices were unoccupied. Sec'y of Defense Rumsfeld occupied an office on a side of the building far removed from the crash site, according to his own remarks on the event.
Anyone with a strong argument need not resort to ridicule.
