Splinx, don't go away! That wasn't my point!
Look, I get frustrated with some of the people here too. That's life. There are lots of people in the dirt world who drive me up the walls, too. But I've found that fleeing one place always takes me to a new place with pretty much the same cast of characters. The Usual Suspects are everywhere! "We have met the enemy and they are us!" You may as well deal with the devils you know, rather than take a chance on a new set of devils. (Had enough of the hackneyed cliches yet?)
When it gets really bad, flame somebody over on the Flames board. You'll not only feel better, but it seems like in about 90% of the cases, the combatants reach an understanding and feel better when it's over.
Take a breather, decompress if you must...but come back.
