That's about right. Reunification has forced the absorption of die-hard and lazy communists into the system, as well as an indoctrinated group of millions who have grown up with anti-American "Imperialist" propaganda.
I tend to think Turkey will fall in line. They simply have so MUCH to lose. Once the people realize the war has begun and cannot be avoided - they will try to preserve their interests.
Bush has to incrementally step up our activities and take away that unrealistic hope that war will be stopped by chantings and protests and anti-American rhetoric.
Bush is clearly the sort of fellow, who simply despises this wishy-washy, anti-American stuff. With each protest, here or abroad, I think it is like a hammer coming down and forging the sword stronger.
All the personal attacks certainly aren't going to help convince him he should let Saddam pose for a picture with a destroyed missile and Blix and then drag it out until he has nuclear capacity.
Saddam stalls..but his stalling has a very real reason. He will soon have no need for complying once he can realistically threaten nuclear annihilation of any amassing troops, Israel, and Riyadh.
That thought is what has to be weighed against the destruction of a few missiles and why it has been announced Saddam must go.
