Protesters "moral conscience" is amazingly silent about the war on Kosovo and the bombs falling in civilian centers then. It is even more absent when discussing the deaths of millions of Iraqis over a period of twenty four years.

Folks who need to block traffic, scream and shout or chain themselves together are not peaceful people, but rather are the violence-prone, redemption-seeking individuals who are a perfect example of the mirror principle.

They see rash, provocative action in others because it is within themselves. They distrust Bush - because they distrust themselves.

The fact that these protesters are ignorant of their actions will not spare them the karmic repercussions. Indeed they may feel they are sparing the Iraqi people when in reality they are condemning them to death, suffering and misery.

They may feel they are bashing the military or Bush and his imperialist henchmen - but they will only end up bashing themselves. Their imbalance and violent emotions on the issue is the first indication they have serious issues to resolve within themselves - not in Iraq or on the street protesting.

There are many banners to take up in this world, being against regime-change in Iraq is possibly the most morally vacuous of all.
