At what point does the 20 year old armed individual stop being a kid and start being an soldier in an army that wanted to kill american soldiers: Many of whom were much younger than he was.

I have no sympathy for him. Given a chance he would have killed my kids or yours, (Assuming you'res would be courageous and honerable enough to wear an American military uniform).

If my child took up arms against his own country I would bow my head in shame and ask that the government do what ever it deems is fair and just.I would recuse myself from the decision making process concernng his fate although I would see to it that my son was properly represented by council...But then I am programed to be one of those heartless parents that expects my children to have character and accept responsibility for their actions.
