Come on! [sadly-angry]
What's happened to American know-how?
[vexation]
What's happened to American independent thought, and intellectual reasoning,
instead of the testosterone-driven
viewpoint?

The US Constitution is certainly
not a "suicide pact", but if the CIA or other agencies start to use torture than it will be your US Constitution [finest political document ever written] that will have committed suicide!

[exasperation]
There - are - other - methods - beside
physical - or - mental - torture - to - extract - information!
ASK YOUR FRIENDLY LOCAL CHEMIST!

LOOK![annoyance]...Even Hollywood,
has its 'favorite' action/spy thriller
chemical-of-choice, SODIUM-PENTATHOL,
employed in its plots over the past
40 years.
Do you seriously THINK that those chemists, psychologists, or pharmacists working for the CIA stopped developing
newer pharamaceuticals, chemicals and drugs since sodium-pentathol was developed more than 40 years ago?
COMMON!!! GET REAL!
They almost certainly have drugs and chemicals available nowadays that can
persuade captured Al-Qaeda they're seeing their long-dead grandmothers.
HEY! Would you lie to your grandmother?
[a little less angry, now]
