I don't remember any such debate. I think I recall a few EuroKooks saying something like this- but thats far from a debate... and Europe stopped making sense a looong time ago. and Yeah, one mans terrorist is, in *some*cases anothers freedom fighter . Remember the Contras and the pit full of massacred Catholic Nuns? Usama is seen as a freeedom fighter to some whether you like it or not. Now, before you go into orbit, let me remind you I am sane and assure you that I think Usama is a little terrorist prick who needs a good, slow killing.

Yeah, well, Scott- this sh!t doesn't happen in a vacuum. If we want to be smart and really win this war, we have to understand the grievences (real or imagined) of the people that allow these monsters to win their hearts, minds and rupies.

Just because we want to dig down and see what caused he cancer does not mean we think the cancer is good or just or right or permissible. It makes us, instead, the darwin-approved folks- the ones who will win the fight in the end. Ask good 'ol Allan Turing who won WWII and why.
