"or Treblinka. Hitler and his thugs would still be in power and still killing people had it not been for war."
Oh come on. How the hell do you draw an equivalence, otside of moral, between Saddam and Hitler: who helped the world dispose of 40million people, invaded a sizable portion of the worlds land mass, and systematically killed 7million people in death camps? Hmmm? Like he||! Why don't *you* ask a death camp survivor. I would be surprised if they didn't SPIT IN YOUR FACE for using them to justify an illegetimate war.
Plus, its WE who are about to be cast in that role if we go ahead in this war. Its WE who will wear that garb.
Since when, anyways, is america REALLY in this for stopping tyrants? We made saddam! We made the Shah of Iran. We support the Saudi clan! We support people JUST as bad as Saddam. Pinochet? Marcos? Ortega? Need I continue?
Use your head. How can you consciously state such blatant inconsistency as fact?
WWII was a righteous war. SOME war is reasonable and justified. This aint one of them, and I defy you to lay a real case out.
