We don't have overwhelming superiority in numbers of land troops. Look for Bush to minimize losses. That means lots of bombs followed by tricky maneuvering. And lots of effort towards getting Iraqis to surrender.

This time... a cool fantasy: airborn landings in Northern Iraq linking with Kurd forces, supplied through Turkey who agreed to do this months ago in secret.

Or... are the Republican Guards deploying far enough from Bagdad that you could drop forces between the two to cut them off? Dangerous, but if they had a good defensive plan, and lots of air support...
