One of the toughest problems of this conflict may be keeping the Turks on a short leash in northern Iraq. As one of our main allies in the Mideast, and long back into the Cold War, we can't just poke them in the eye if they start to go postal on the Kurds or get the idea that Turkey ought to be slightly larger on its southern border. I hope we have enough troops keeping an eye on the Kurdish areas to keep this from happening.
