How could Carter refuse such an honor and opportunity to influence the future of Peace in the Middle East?
I wonder what Carter would do to stem the influence of wahabism in Iraq (if anything at all).
After all, Carter would be faced with a real tough decision: How could he satisfy the Muslims who wantta be Wahabi and those who don't and still remain true to the tennants of Liberalism which ensure all peoples the right to self-determination...Even if those people are clearly making a wrong choice.
