Re: This is not relevant??

"We have given them detailed instructions on how to avoid being killed. They should surrender"

Yes, frank, and I'm sure their offficers have given them detailed instructions that they will be shot in the back if they are caught surrendering. And if they are fighting intentionally, then they are expressing their will against american rule and your point (that they choose us) is moot.

"Of what popular will are you speaking? Should we assume that your answer to Mark is that the current government is what they want. "

Dear god! The whole reason I wrote what I wrote is to re-iterate that I am NOT claiming that they WANT their current regime. They hate their current regime, but they seem to be equally upset about us invading them to force OUR will down their throats at the point of a gun. This is NOT necessarily black and white, Like or Vader. Most Iraqi sentiment that I have heard is against US occupation. The only Iraqis saying how great we are seem to be those exiles allied with the 'opposition' organizations which are looking to be the legitimate power installed by the US after saddam, so I don't trust them.

"Personally, I believe that the Iraqis hate their government more than Bowser hates ours (maybe).

Should we impose our will on an oppressed people? Probably not, let them fend for themselves but unless you think that our army engineers built that chem factory in the last few days we have a better motivation."

Yes, we can not impose our will and call it liberation of freedom. Its a lie. As for the chem/bio- well- we have been through this a thousand times. I have given a detailed, factual, well sourced and logically consistent argument that this war is NOT justified. All I get back are appeals to belief, ad hominem attacks, and attempts to prove the counter case through successive iteration of ferverent belief. I'm not bothering with it anymore. Its like arguing with creationists.
