SARS - pay attention, folks, this could end up being bigger than Iraq
SARS is spreading rapidly in many parts of the world, despite great efforts to contain it. It is highly communicable and though when treated with drastic measures it seems to be controllable, nobody has yet recovered from it as far as I have been able to determine. Many places don't have the resources to treat it agressively or to put massive quarantines in place quickly. If this reaches third world countries - and it almost certainly will - it could make AIDS look like a party.
