Still watching this story.

I'm still tracking this. The Pentagon is becoming more certain that it wasn't one of theirs, since they have a real good idea of what gets launched or dropped, and what it's supposed to hit.

A story in the Mercury News today had a few more pieces of data:

Residents said they heard the murmur of a bomber in a cloaked sky. Seconds later, the first explosion struck.

Almost everybody in the neighborhood who spoke to reporters blamed the United States. But in private, some residents complained bitterly that the Iraqi military had trucked in missiles and other weapons to a grass-and-mud clearing at the neighborhood's edge. One neighbor said the trucks' movements were shrouded to a degree by a two-day sandstorm.

...By the time reporters arrived at the site, whatever truth had been available in the immediate aftermath of the blasts had begun to evaporate. All the bodies were gone, even those burned to death in their cars; witnesses who remembered anything clearly about the moment of detonation were few, and hard to find.

Some facts were beyond dispute. Two craters, one larger than the other, lay to either side of a busy road leading out of Baghdad. Neither was more than a fraction as deep as the 50-foot quarries dug by the largest U.S. bombs to have fallen here in the past week.

Still nothing conclusive...but more data is coming in. And considering the amount of hay the Iraqi regime is making of this, and given other proven behaviors in this war, does anyone doubt they would be capable of "arranging" such a thing? If not that, certainly they are capable of blaming an accident of their own military on America.
