Why not just give it a rest for a few weeks, and see what the Iraqi people actually say once the Iraqi goons aren't pointing guns at them any more?

You seem to be pretty good at reading their minds from the other side of the planet. What evidence do you have that your take on it is any more universally accurate than the "cheering the liberators" take? I can pick and choose incidents supporting the latter viewpoint just like you can for the former.

I have seen a broad spectrum of behaviors from Iraqi civilians, and a lot of evidence that they behave differently if they think the Iraqi goons are watching them.

Wait for some real information. No doubt there will still be a broad range of opinion after the regime is destroyed, but I believe most of it will be in our favor.
