I can tell you that you're by no means the first person to feel this way lately. Other people have talked about going away, and said that one reason was to protect the board from their own feelings. My response is simple: We work it out, and we're obligated to do so because longstanding community members have built up equity in the place. You and Mary Anne made peace on that thread, and I'm happy with that. If you go away, then you foreclose the possibility of making peace. It's better to stay and "close the loop", and see such disputes to their inevitable peaceful resolution.
