Are You Talking About UN Goals Or Yours?
Taking weapons off the battlefield was not the intent of the inspections or the sanctions, it was eliminating them. If you are talking about only your own personal view as to the inspections having been a benefit I agree that trying to restart inspections was a good idea and that it may have helped save lives in the war. As an attempt to prevent war they were an utter failure due to the French hamstring maneuver.
