Arithmetic is not my strong point
Perhaps you can explain to me how the income can be cut and the out-go can be increased at the same time.
It seems to me the money will either have to come from some other large fund (and the largest are...?) or from a printing press in someone's basement.
I know what happens where I work when the funding gets cut: we cut hours and sometimes people, turn off the lights and go home. And some of us work on our days off because we're crazy. But as far as I know, no one thinks that courting burnout is a really good idea for medical care providers, especially when veteran care is at stake.
