There were so many good, valid reasons to rid the world of Saddam Hussein that you don't even need to include WMD among them.
It's an indisputable fact that Saddam sought to acquire and develop WMD over many years. It's also an indisputable fact that he's proved numerous conflicts with his neighbors and is responsible for 1-2 million deaths, he's attempted to assassinate former President Bush, and he's violated numerous agreements ending the first Gulf War. Even on the remote chance that he somehow voluntarily gave up all hisWMD (which goes against EVERYTHING in his personal history) he's still clearly far too evil and dangerous to be allowed to rule a modern nation-state such as Iraq. If the UN is too irresponsible to realize and act upon that fact, then we have no choice but to do it ourselves.
Who was it who said that in order for evil to triumph in the world all that is necessary is that good people do...nothing?

Highly unlikely, but even in that case the war to oust Saddam would still have been entirely justified
