OBL became a terrorist because he resented the US Army presence in Saudi Arabia, a sacred muslim country (for them).
He had time to build up his plot and time did not erase his hatred towards the west.
Now, the longer the US stays in Iraq, who knows how many new OBL's will emerge, for the same reasons?
The coalition army freed Iraqis, but only from Saddam (if we ever find him).
