Isn't it referred to as a Entropy Demon? There is some famous thought experiment that posits a 'demon' (or some black-box device) that acts as an entropy pump. By supposing such a device exists, you end up with a contradiction to some set of fundamental laws and therefore prove that no such 'entropy pump' exists...
