Re: Just imagine if morality hadn't been thrown out the window

The AIDS epidemic in America was almost solely due to a radical gay minority which insisted, despite all evidence of how the disease was spread, that the foundation of gay culture was the "right" to screw every single person in your area code, and any idea that their behavior might have something to do with the problem was denounced bitterly as bigotry and evil religious values.

Once the mechanism of the disease became known, there was no excuse for this attitude. Gay activists blamed Reagan for not dumping money into a cure while continuing to rack up dozens to hundreds of sexual partners.

Sorry, the sweet lady at the Republican convention was the exception, not the rule.

Check out the statistics.

Assuming my math is correct, out of 816,419 cases, 90,131 were spread by heterosexual contact, or 11 percent. How many of these heterosexual contacts were promiscuous, or with bisexual partners, is not shown. Mary Fisher is in this category, although she was neither promiscuous nor bisexual (she got it from a husband who used drugs).

Those who got AIDS from transfusions, or from their mothers, or other methods where the victim is totally innocent (including ALL child cases) numbered 23,337, or about 3 percent of the total. Mary Fisher and Hydeia L. Broadbent are not the "face of AIDS." They are just a tiny fraction of the problem. But then, that wouldn't get the political job done, would it?

Just imagine if AIDS had been treated as a human disease rather than a gay men's disease right from the start.

51 percent of all cases are related directly to gay sex. The ones that are admitted to, that is. One might be excused for thinking that promiscuous gay sexual practices might be a major factor here. Maybe next we can get indignant about sickle cell anemia being called a "black" disease.

AIDS was and is a disease spread by rampant promiscuity and drug use. That the promiscuity was mostly gay is almost beside the point, except that the virus spreads far more easily through non-vaginal sex, and except that the gay subculture involved worships anonymous, promiscuous sex.

There was, and is, a moral factor involved in AIDS, and all the liberals in the world shooting steam from their ears in indignation at the idea doesn't change the facts.

Just imagine a world in which homosexuals can have legal, stable relationships acknowledged by the world, as a way to encourage monogamous behavior.

I'm sorry that some people feel that the only alternative to legalized gay marriage is buggering every person you can see without a telescope. I'm kind of skeptical about these being the only two alternatives.

AIDS victims deserve sympathy, like anyone else desperately ill. Especially innocent victims like Mary Fisher, the kids, and even the gays who fell to the disease before anyone knew how it was spread.

The fact remains now that aside from that three percent category, you cannot get AIDS unless you do something you shouldn't be doing. You want to blame the epidemic on something, try blaming the violent allergy some on the Left have to anything that smacks of a code of behavior.

When the gay activists stop acting like the Republicans snuck into their rooms at night with a virus shot and acknowledge that they are in a stew largely of their own making, we might all be able to move on from there.
