re: re: "Blix report fuels doubts on weapons of mass destruction."

Saddam was playing games with the inspectors. His scientists have admitted they did hide and destroy data from the UN inspectors. Furthermore, the US has satellite pictures of them moving stuff just before inspectors arrive.

I keep hearing arguments saying, “You want to give the military more time to flush out WMD, but you didn’t want to give the UN inspectors more time. You should have given the UN inspectors more time.”

Given the UN inspectors more time would have accomplished nothing with Saddam plying hide and seek with them. Saddam move materials from site A to site B while inspectors go to site A. Then he moves it to site C while inspectors go to site B. This could have gone on for years. The inspections were pointless if Saddam was not going to cooperate.

My own personal feelings- I suspect Bush has damming evidence for WMD in Iraq. I suspect he is waiting for the right time to release this info. He is not stupid like his opponents make him out to be. If I was him, I would let my opponents cry foul, dig a deep hole, and then right before campaign begins, bury them with the proof.

The only problem with my theory is that, IMO, we have found damming evidence. As far as I am concerned, those two mobile Bio-weapons labs are all the proof I, and millions of other Americans, need as proof.

As far as President Bush lying to us goes- that is a bunch of bull. Iraq was purposely hiding stuff from the UN. Iraq has a history of using WMD to kill people.

So we have Iraq with a history of producing WMD and we have them purposely hiding stuff from the UN inspectors. Looks damming to me.
