Belgium holds Iraqi over toxic letters
(actually this episode looks far too amateurish to have been an organized act of terrorism)
The real danger is due to Saddam’s known ties to Palestinian terrorists, and Islamist terrorists in Africa, and Allah only knows who and where else…
There was certainly no exaggeration by the Bush administration of the amount of unaccounted for Iraqi chemical and biological weapons.
Don’t forget that when the U.N. inspectors were kicked out of Iraq by an uncooperative Saddam Hussein in 1998, they compiled a list of undeclared but highly suspected Iraqi WMD:
4 tons of missing VX;
600 tons of ingredients to make more of it.
3,000 tons of other agents like tabun, sarin and mustard gas;
550 artillery shells filled with mustard gas;
31,000 chemical munitions.
Now do you just want to blame Bush for believing what the UN inspectors themselves said in 1998??
And as you’ve stated, where the heck did it all go? Given that Saddam has an actual history of developing and using WMD, to kill tens of thousands of Kurds, Iranians, and possibly Marsh Arabs too, the burden of proof was squarely upon Saddam, NOT the US and the UK, to demonstrate the existence or non-existence of the WMD, and to properly account for every bit of it..

Hopefully none of it has fallen into the hands of nutcases like this!
