MER-A launch postponed until tomorrow.
"Approaching thunderstorms have forced NASA to postpone today's planned launch of a Delta 2 rocket carrying the first of two Mars Exploration Rovers to the Red Planet. Liftoff has been rescheduled for Monday at 2:02:23 p.m. EDT"
Evidently the delta II can't outrun a thunderstorm. Getting to 30,000 ft. should take well under a minute, they should have gone for it.
