Tom:
"The Oklahoma City bombing was two guys. The Olympic Park bomber was another guy, and he's also suspected of the only abortion clinic bombing that killed anyone (to the best of my knowledge), as well as other abortion clinic bombings. "

This is exactly like saying that sept-11th was pulled off by 'just' 10-or-12 guys.

As an Okie, Tom, I can tell you- McVeigh and Nichols were part of a very large, very well funded group of folks- predominantly Right Wing Christian Sepratists and White Supremicists. They recieved succor and support from a large number of people- namley and for example- Elohime City- a little community of inbred right wing asswipes between Arkansas and Oklahoma who shltered, fed and lived with Mr. McVeigh off-and-on... Where Mr. McVeigh is now buried by his own request.

It is virtually impossible to derive out conclusively, one way or the other, if elements in the larger movement had any sure knowledge of the APM federal building bombing. We know that this group of people operates under the 'cell' principle, with no central authority- as our own FBI tells us is the case. That a thousand people didn't have knowledge of OKC, or that no shadowt Usama-Like character oversaw the operation does NOT make them less dangerous from the Security and Intelligence standpoint- it makes the MORE dangerous.

The APM building was not just a randomly chosen cite. The larger group of right wing wackos had been claiming for quite some time that there were DeathCamps being set up in Lawton Oklahoma and that the APM building was the FEMA headquarters in the area driving it. And that the ATF office in the APM building had been the seat of the regional command post that 'killed' the people in Waco.

Nor, of course, was the scenario for its terrorist destruction. The 'AMFO Rental' had been discussed in their literature for years, and how to make AMFO (and other high explosives) was part of their folklore. I know this tom, because my neighbors were [in some unknown capacity] part of this movement and people would try, all of the time, to 'recruit' you. Even after the bombing.

If you want to call it a conspiracy, its a conspiracy of the 'folk'. Chatting in the back of a truck knocking a beer back after working fences and grousing about hard times, 'zionists', and the federal government. Its what happens when good people fall on hard times and poor education. Up until McVeigh lit the fuze on that Ryder truck, there was a LOT of people talking openly about killing jews,'darkies' and 'guvment types' that 'keep the good folk down'

Things and times have been *really* hard in the rural midwest for the last 40 years. Things were good for the 50's and the 60's, but before and after that its been BAD times. In Oklahoma you can find town after town where there are only old men, teenage mothers and drunk unemployed young men with a lot of anger and a lot of time and a lot of guns. Immagine the hopelessness of an entire town that is a slum, where nobody for 2 generations has gone to college, where the banks own all the land and Wallmart just closed after moving in and killing all local businesses.

After McVeigh, those people have just been more quiet about it. But its still there, seething under the surface- and it will remain until Education and Economy improve there.

There is a forest of empty chairs you should visit someday. Some of them standing for children. Some of them bearing names I had heard before, or knew distantly. The entire community of Oklahoma was shook to its core, perhaps and in my opinion it allowed itself to become too caught up in the tragedy- but never-the-less a LOT of people died. A LOT of people died at the urging of a large organization of right wing extreemists.

Every year there are one-or-two killings of federal employees up north- you don't hear about them, but they happen all of the time.

Eric R. Only managed to stay hidden for the better part of a decade by utilizing help of a great many people.

Your stupid insistance that only left-wing extremists kill people is, well, stupid- its a facet your own extreemism. You won't face it because your ideals have painted you into a corner and simply- because YOU DON'T KNOW what is going on in inner america.

You don't understand whats going on in the American heartland. You really should try. Its the greatest threat to america, in my opinion.
