If anyone has a mechanism for implementing "affirmative action" in any realm of endeavor that doesn't involve counting members of a certain skin color, i.e. quotas, I would love to hear it.

How do you tell if your college is "diverse" without counting heads? And if their aren't enough of one color? You need to get more until you have enough. What's enough? A certain percentage.

Maybe there is some definition of "quota" I'm unfamiliar with...
