I know many Librarians, and I find them to be the most professional, well informed, competent group of individulas I have ever met. They have one of the oldest and possibly the most essential of academic trades, yet they also have a deep understanding of how to provide an architecture for expanding the minds of youth in an unbiased and objective way. They have a level of technical competency that, in some cases, surpasses some of the best programmers I have met.

That Mr. Nelson can not recognize this is sad, but expected. That Mr. Nelson feels entitled to disregard your professionalism and experience is also to be expected. That Mr. Nelson can not recognize the pearls is proof only that he is a swine.

All I can say, is please don't feel (in general) disrespected here. Please don't feel unappreciated. and Please, for gods sake, don't take Mr. Nelson to heart. I think I stopped caring what he had to say within a few days of my showing up here.
