A.N.S.W.E.R. organized the major protests in large cities. That this organization is comprised of radical leftists in opposition to the West and America is beyond argument. Smaller protests were organized by campus and other groups with similar radical views, but I have documented this only in my local area, so cannot legitimately claim it happened everywhere.

I have never claimed that everyone, or even more than a tiny minority, who marched in the protests was a Marxist, or even a leftist. Hell, there were probably Republicans in many marches. That's not what bugs me.

If a pro-war or anti-abortion march of a million citizens was found to have been organized and funded by the American Nazi Party, or hell, organized and funded by Bob Jones University, it would have been poisoned forever. The entire protest would have been condemned by the press, condemned by world opinion, and probably condemned by you.

Search your feelings, you KNOW this to be true.

Yet everyone seems to be willing to accept a complete disconnect between the large anti-war protests and those funding and organizing them. Whether or not such a disconnect is in fact reasonable, at the very least it's a double standard. It's the unfairness of it that pissed me off back then more than anything else.

Anyway, I didn't really want to haul this all up again. It's old news. A.N.S.W.E.R. has moved on to other programs for destroying Bush, ruining capitalism, and defending socialist tyrannies. The mainstream protestors went back to their lives. At least until the phone calls come again.

And getting back to the original subject: still looking for news about any of the anti-war organizations marching to support Iranians today. Anyone else find anything?
