Arguing with ideologues is fun - but Davin is formed by his environment and his experiences as you are yours. Davin has unfortunately been exposed to Redneckus Prejumeanous (Okleopotra) and so if he falls in line with any conservative viewpoints it is akin to sacrilege.

The compassionate, rational viewpoints and deep down morals are all liberal - and he knows it.

You are only arguing with straw-men. The fact that these straw-men are flesh and blood individuals and backed by hundreds of thousands of other extremists is lost on him.

Many reactionaries are formed by abusive personal experiences. I think many liberals have been ostracized and demonized for one reason or another and so embrace liberalism as the philosiphical panacea and salvation - then they go about doing exactly what emotionalized them, by demonizing conservatives.

This is played out all over the world in many ways and each is always blind to their own hang-ups*

I could get into a dissertation about feedback and wave forms but I know you freak out at that sort of stuff. So instead I'll leave you both with this thought - each color projected by an object is really the absence and rejection of that color.
