Typical stupidity.

There is plenty of water there. The trick is getting the salt out. That turns out not to be at all difficult or expensive. I am talking at complete salt removal, not the half-assed job done by reverse osmosis.

I met with the Israeli Minister of Energy and Infrastructure some time ago about the solution to the water problem, but he was not at all interested. He just wanted to keep doing what they were doing, which was NOT working. Oh, well, that's the way the cookie crumbles.

A friend of mine, a retired UN agricultural expert, has come up with an incredible new method of irrigation that uses a small fraction of the water that ordinary irrigation does and yet produces vastly superior results. I found it hard to believe until I saw the actual results first-hand. Plants like african impatiens, which are usually small yard flowers, grow to enormous height with his method. It seems to work on all plants, at least all of the dozen or so species that he has tried it on. Needless to say, nobody is interested in it.
