So the Seven month delay and its cause is completely unjustified?
And the cause of the delay should be attacked in a partisan manner under the current circumstances?
Give me a break...We are at war (supposedly) with the very terrorists who would love to read an un-redacted report ("completely unedited version of the report" for those of you who voted for Barbara Boxer) discussing the United States' intelligence weaknesses.
The problems raised by the report really need to be fixed before the report comes out, or else we are handing the terrorists a serious goldmine of information with which they could attack us again. Is that what you propose? Tell the world where we are weakest?
Hell yeah...Hand the terrorists that tool Mr. Ted Kennedy.
And given that any rational person would NOT want to give the terrorists such information concerning our country's weaknesses, then it is reasonable to assume that considerable parts of the report MUST BE REDACTED for national security reasons, because I doubt very seriously that ALL of the problems addressed by the report have been fixed in only "Seven Months".
Face it: This is purely partisan grandstanding by the Democrats who are preying that they will be able to beat Bush over the head with this obvious bullshit...What makes it sick is that it is grandstanding where lives have been lost, and where we have a very serious risk of more lives being lost...Especially if we go about releasing this information in the wrong way.

re: "Seven months - that's a significant delay. The fact that the delay is almost over does not negate its duration, nor its cause."
