You are mistaken.
This is NOT a partisan investigation.
It's an investigation to find out WHY our bloated intelligence system failed us.
There have been walls erected for that information not to come out, not for "national security", but because someone's ass is on the line and it's not a pretty sight.
Might even be the responsibility of a RESPONSIBLE ONE.

You think that we should be withholding our weaknesses.
Without exposing them, making someone responsible and FIXING them, we'll never be secure.
You seem to still forget that the FBI office in Washington ALLOWED Mohammed Atta and Moussaui free access to our flight schools, even though the FAA had reported them repeatedly to their local FBI offices. And Condoleesa Rice was briefed THREE months before 9/11 that there was a greater likelihood of a terrorist attack on our nations' "monuments" using planes instead of bombs. Rumsfeld, Cheney and Bush didn't fly much at all during August........they were holed up.
And the FBI agent in Washington who consistently denied the judges' request for computer taps on these terrorist trainers, HE got promoted with a pay raise after 9/11.
Why don't you go back and stick your head in the sand?
