I can see where you want to go with this, Tom. But you might be overreacting a bit.

If the report had called them "Iraqi Freedom Fighters" then of course any reasonable person would see it as blatant propaganda. But "Iraqi Resistance" is pretty accurate: Iraqis resisting the US occupation. US commanders have labelled the attacks a "guerilla war", and I don't see how it's unreasonable to label the guerillas as a group a "resistance".

You might find "Baathist Resistance" more acceptable, but that too would involve some propaganda. We surmise that the Baathists have regrouped and are mounting an organized resistance, but we don't really know that for sure. The pattern of attacks shows evidence of planning and coordination, but it's a leap from there to naming a single organization behind it all.
