Hmm, what to talk about.
Capsule vs Winged. Moon vs Mars. Pipelaunchers. NASA screwing the Pooch. Pretty damn boring.
I believe space involves all the people of all the countries in the World. I don't think an effort to
do space projects by an "international effort" would be good. The problem isn't with the "international"
part. The problem is the history & understanding which is attached to "international efforts"- which basically
bureaucracies from a selected group of countries, getting together and screwing their tax payers.
The biggest problem with getting into space is the govt not "supporting" the activity. Now, if we had a international
group which focused on this aspect, we might get somewhere. With airplanes, France sponsored an international
air show. In today's world is it possible to have a international rocket show? This, of course, would legal nightmare.
Airplanes had one advantage. They were thought to be "mostly harmless". The same can not be said about rockets.
The biggest barrier to Space is human fear. Technology, money, everything else is fairly insignificant- basically it's the fear of our future, which keeps us on this little blue marble.
Whatever
