This is exactly the way I see it
And pretty much what I said here in a more inarticulate way.
If the radical Islamic threat is as monolithic as it appears to be, this line of thinking is the only somewhat civilized way to approach the problem and maybe save civilization as we know it. The methods cited by Raoul are stop gaps and the problem continues to grow. The best that we will get from that approach is a 50/50 chance for civilization to end with a whimper rather than a bang
