It's a sad statement when the right ceaselessly pretends that the millions who pay a huge payroll tax, pay no taxes. And yeah, millions of former middle class Americans are now below the poverty line thanks to the disastrous policies of Dick and W.

The point is Romney is hiding something more damaging than the bullshit he's dealing with now over it - from his own party! His taxes and business decisions would be fair game in any case, but especially since the guy is running on his business record.

And you don't hear him say much about Massachusetts...

And no we haven't "moved on to the next shiny object." The taxes are an open book to Romney's involvement in Bain 99-02. Worst case for Mittster, if it proves he lied to the SEC or when filing for elections, he could be out before the convention! Best case for him, his taxes hide damaging but completely legal financial flim flam, including extensive foreign tax shelters.
