Hmmm...define "classic" ;-)

Perhaps Yor recollection is faulty;-) Yor did have Corrine Clery in it which was one redeeming value.

The Ipcress files had endless psychedelic orange wall hypnotizing scenes as I recall and not a lot of action. I was unsure if hypnotizing the audience into thinking it was a good movie was the goal.

C.H.U.D. was a classic? I think you may be too kind. It wasn't good enough to be good nor bad enough to be good and its antinuclear message wasn't lost on me either. It seemed about right for the Nightmare on Elmstreet/MJ Thriller video era of horror filmmaking. (However CHUDs were never really that scary and I recall cheering for the monsters instead of the leads)

I wrote Charlies Angels off after the ridiculous motocross scene. Such a shame, too - Charlies Angels could have been done well in a refreshing seventies tribute style instead of a Matrix wannabee style.

As for Jaws - find me a redeeming scene in Jaws 3D...

Ah 3D...You didn't perchance catch "Comin at Ya!" in the early eighties did you? That was a "bad" good movie. Even a baby's bottom is comin at ya, if I recall.

Ok more bad films:

Anything with Chuck Norris and MIA in the title
Most, but not all, Charles Bronson films
A movie with the leads name being "Trash" (can't remember the title!)
Anything with Elmstreet in the title

Movies bad enough to be good:
Sinbad movies (not the actor Sinbad but Sinbad the sailor)
(Or anything with walking skeletons including that Titan movie)
Most japanese monster flicks - but you have to be in the mood.
Most space movies from the fifties (though there are notable exceptions)
The Three Amigos
Flash Gordon (complete with a soundtrack by Queen and a hot Italian actress as Ming's daughter)
The three "red" films:
Red Dawn
Red Heat
Red Sonja

It's a fine line between being bad and being over the top bad into bad/good. Each of us has different criterion. I've got a softspot for bad space films such as Battle Beyond the Stars or Last Starfighter. I also cut a lot of slack to early films in glorious black and white and many of John Waynes films.

Sadly I include a LOT of the films made in the past ten years into the bad column - primarily because they are copies of copies of copies of plots that have come before. For kids today - they may find them entertaining but when you know where every scene has been ripped off from it gets annoying.

Oh well...I suspect the 21st century will have a plethora of bad movies - we can only hope for some bad, bad, movies to redeem them.
