When I was about 15-16 yrs old the student union at OSU was considering showing the movie "The Last Temptation of Christ". As you can imagine this caused a huge protest in an Oklahoma university!
I decided to put my 2 cents in- I had a 3 foot diameter balloon... I called up the local party supply shop and asked how much would filling a 3 foot diameter balloon cost.
"Well," the lady said "we charge 80 cents to fill our regular balloons, and they're 'bout a foot across, soooo.... (sound of calculator being used)... Ah can fill it for 2 dollars and 40 cents"
I didn't remind her that the volume grows as the cube of the radius, I took it in and left it to get filled- I then got poster board and a magic marker and fishing line. I made a very large sign tha was stiffened with balsa wood... the sign read:
Show the Movie!
-God
I went and picked up the balloon from the now very upset shop owner, and paid my $2.40... "I must have a leaky regulator! it took forever to fill that balloon up! I emptied one tank and the second is already starting to get low!"
I tied it and the sign to some line and walked in to campus with it bobbing about 50 feet above me... I tied it off to a lamp post and walked off... It was quickly cut down but it was impressive!
Here is the part I love to think about... I picture it coming down in some Nebraska corn farmer's field, the poor old man goes out to find this ambiguous message from heaven- sort of like "field of dreams" with attitude...:)

I'll have to tell y'all about the Quayle ballooning event that made it on CNN, and crashing the republican natl convention... I was the only democrat within a 100 yards of the tennessee delegation (That got the secret service pissed!)
