re: Cruel?

Lindy, you are exhibit one in my "mentally ungifted" file. You obviously don't know the meaning of the word racism, or your reading comprehension is so poor as to believe that I was talking about minorities.

I'll type R-E-A-L slow so maybe you can understand. My coworker and I were (and are) singularily unimpressed with the "UFO" community. We'd seen the pictures and knew we could easily create fake images at least as good as those being sworn as authentic by the "UFO experts." Our gag would be to see how many of them fell for it.

Now, Lindy, where is the racism in that remark? Are you somehow claiming that "UFO experts" are minorities? Come to think of it, I don't ever recall seeing a "UFO expert" who wasn't white and almost always male to boot.

And no, I won't shut up. If you don't like it, then boo-freaking-hoo. You can skip my posts as easily as I skip reading most of yours.

I've seen "unidentified flying objects" many times. Once while flying near Denver, I saw six contrails flying in a very loose formation unlike any I'd ever seen before. The objects creating the contrails were too small to make out, so they were (to me) 6 UFOs. They might have been F-14s, F-15s, F-16s, F-18s, or even AV-8Bs, but since I couldn't make them out, they were unidentified.

Not too long ago, I saw a bright object in the sky behaving in an unusual manner. I couldn't make it out until I looked at it through a camera with a powerful zoom lens. It turned out to be a cluster of dozens of small balloons that probably broke loose from a nearby car lot (they use bunches of balloons as an attention getter). This is from someone who can recognize hundreds of different aircraft on sight and who developed aircraft-recognition software for Air Force fighter pilots.
