But

Saudi Arabia is one of (if not) the most westernized countries in the Middle East, however the majority of the 9/11 terrorist’s where Saudis. Stamping out the fanatical wing of a religion that condones murder and encourages death to all infidels is the key it is the dangerous element here. Until the religious leaders of Islam backs off of it’s fanatical interpretations of the Koran you will continue to have these rogue terrorist attacks against western interests and values. When kids are brainwashed in these Islamic institutions at an early age to not trust the infidels, and to believe that to die for Allah brings martyrdom is what breeds this hate toward the U.S. and encourages terrorism.

You really cannot equate mid-east countries and terrorism to Japan‘s situation. In WWII we knew exactly who the enemy was, Islamic terrorist’s can crawl out from under any rock anywhere at anytime and it’s hard to finger exactly who our friends are and who isn’t and we just cannot go around attacking and invading any country that we ‘think’ may be a threat to us.

Maybe we need to call our so-called ’pals’ in Saudi Arabia on the carpet I think the real problem lays there. They have elevated ‘good cop bad cop’ to a fine art and play both ends perfectly. They play us because we’re their main source of wealth and they continue to appease the fanatical element in their country because if they didn’t the lunatics would take over the asylum.

Let’s point the finger in the right direction and not the wrong direction.
