Democrats fight tooth and nail against school choice for one single reason:
They know it would work. It calls into question the very concept of government schools, the leadership of which are spending most of their time lately trying to avoid any examination of how well they are educating kids.
If nothing else, this most recent fight will lay bare to more of the public the fact that Kennedy and his cohorts think political power is far more important than educating kids. As the article shows, they aren't getting off scott-free on it this time.
