That's interesting, Jody. It's not something I've noticed. I'd be willing to accept, however, that you may well be more observant than I am.
I know a number of thirtysomethings and they seem for the most part to be "settling in," largely accepting the world as they find it and striving to make things work. I'd even say the same about most twentysomethings, especially if they've passed the midpoint of that span. Younger than that, though, and I can see what you've described.
Or maybe it's a Texas thing ;-)
