Mary Anne gave me the impression that she didn't have to work very hard to find those stories, and the implication that most such stories don't mention McNabb's race is obvious.

Before I wrote that post, I did a quick check on a few random stories...from the news sections of papers (not recent). But not from the sports sections. And made an extrapolation that apparently had no real basis.

I went back tonight and checked the sports section of today's paper. It doesn't even mention this story at all.

I guess what the coach said is right...it doesn't matter if a guy is striped if he can win.

However, to get back to the point, Rush was commenting more on the attitude of the media than he was on the player. According to one of Tony's stories, McNabb is actually having a bad season.
