Holy smoke!

My first reaction of sadness and condemnation is probably not my best. This is because the study only probes right-leaning misconceptions. I'd be interested to know the results if they included 3 left-leaning misconceptions as well.

But then I started to wonder what left-leaning misconception you could include. I'm sure that Tom could come up with a good list? Certainly nothing to do with the number of antiquities lost/stolen/destroyed since this is a number that is different every time you read a new story about it.

Maybe % of Iraqi's that prefer the US to stay in Iraq for a while? Problem is that we get conflicting numbers depending on who is polled and where they are polled. Conflicting numbers keep folks from forming a coherent view, and also prevent the study from declaring that one view is false and another is true (the next poll out may the study obsolete before it is published).
