I was shocked by the mauling. Having seen the greatest lion tamer of them all, Gunter Gabel Williams train his animals in BIG circuses in BIG iron cages with a healthy respect all around, I marveled at his skill. And make no bones about it, these animals are man eaters.
How Siegfried and Roy could legally prance them around a few feet away from their audience is beyond me. I had no idea how no safeguards were in place. I wouldn't have gone into a show like that. And the lady with the "big hair" was apparently getting ready to be a big cat's snack. (Obviously, "big hair" annoyed him too).
No, I would think something like this was bound to happen.
Even my house cats (as much as they're loved and domesticated), have unpredictable sides to them.
And ten pounds of little house cat is nowhere NEAR a 500 lb. wild beast raised with it's natural instincts (and often testicles) in place.
