re: Cosmic self-renewal...

When relativity is introduced to the model, spacetime takes on a behaviour almost like a physical thing. The presence of matter simply "requires" space and time to behave in a certain way, to ensure logical continuity.

Because a black hole has enormous gravity, the spacetime around it is temporally frozen relative to it's host universe. It may be possible to measure an effectively exact "state". And before anything significant happens within the black hole, we might be able to alter it's state. Hence, we might be able to define an exact initial state of a black hole, even engineer it, and thereby control how it forms. Thereby the parent can influence the child in the early stages.

And so on, the universes evolve, through the generations....

Of course it's just an idea. Without a mechanism for inflationary theory and applying it to black holes, it won't work.
