The Bush administration just finished a two week public relations campaigned designed to convince the American public that things are going just dandy in Iraq. Then along comes Mr. Rumsfeld internal memo stating exactly the opposite. The contradiction has just given the pundits all they need to make hay over the mixed messages.

I, for one, don't think its all that big a deal.. What is a big deal is the perpetual lie being committed about so-called Iraqi weapons of mass destruction. The Bush administration keeps coming up with new spin to explain away what amounts to a horrific intelligence failure.

Meanwhile, Saddam and Osama still run free.
